Revelation in Hidden Knowledge
The “lost” or “hidden” books listed here are very significant in the “time of awakening” also known as “the end times” for God’s chosen people. They reinforce the pattern of prophecy, divine judgment, and the ultimate restoration of righteousness. These books align with biblical prophecy, giving deeper insight into spiritual warfare, the persecution of the righteous, the coming of the Messiah, and God’s final judgment.
The prophets and their books are crucial to the lineage of Adam, Abraham, and David because they serve as divine messengers, guiding God’s chosen people through warnings, covenants, messianic prophecies, and end-times revelations. The prophets ensured that the descendants of these key patriarchs remained faithful to God’s promises and prepared for the coming of the Messiah and the final judgment.
Throughout biblical history and beyond, there have been deliberate efforts to suppress, alter, or destroy the writings, books, and words of the prophets—essentially attempts to erase, manipulate, or conceal God’s war plan against evil. These efforts were carried out by wicked rulers, religious leaders, empires, and spiritual forces opposed to God’s truth.
These actions align with the enemy’s strategy to keep God’s chosen people uninformed, divided, and unprepared for spiritual warfare, the Messiah’s coming, and end-times prophecy.
1. Ancient Attempts to Destroy or Suppress the Prophets’ Words
Throughout the Old Testament, powerful rulers and corrupt religious leaders sought to eliminate or suppress God’s messages.
🔹 Jeremiah’s Scroll Burned by King Jehoiakim
✅ Jeremiah wrote a prophecy warning of Babylon’s destruction of Judah.
✅ King Jehoiakim burned the scroll to silence the warning (Jeremiah 36:22-26).
✅ God commanded Jeremiah to rewrite the prophecy—showing that His word cannot be destroyed (Jeremiah 36:27-28).
🔹 The Killing of Prophets
✅ Elijah was hunted by Queen Jezebel for exposing her Baal worship (1 Kings 19:2).
✅ Zechariah (son of Jehoiada) was murdered in the temple for rebuking Israel’s leaders (2 Chronicles 24:20-21).
✅ Jesus accused Israel of killing the prophets, saying, “Woe to you! You build tombs for the prophets, but your ancestors killed them!” (Luke 11:47-51).
🔹 Attempts to Corrupt and Erase the Law of God
✅ King Manasseh (one of Judah’s worst kings) led the people into paganism and likely destroyed Torah scrolls (2 Kings 21:1-9).
✅ King Josiah later rediscovered the “Book of the Law”—which had been hidden away (2 Kings 22:8-13).
✅ This shows a pattern of wicked leaders trying to erase God’s word, but God always ensures His truth resurfaces.
➡️ The attempt to silence the prophets was a war tactic—to keep God’s people blind to coming judgment and the Messiah’s plan.
2. The Suppression of Prophetic and Apocalyptic Writings (Intertestamental & Roman Eras)
Between the Old and New Testaments, various empires and religious factions sought to erase, hide, or suppress divine revelations.
🔹 The Seleucid Empire & the Maccabees’ Revolt
✅ King Antiochus IV (Seleucid ruler) outlawed the Torah and prophetic writings—burning scrolls and killing those who kept the Law (1 Maccabees 1:56-57).
✅ The Jews hid the sacred writings in secret places to preserve them (1 Maccabees 2:29).
✅ Maccabean warriors fought to restore God’s word, showing how Satan uses political power to suppress truth.
🔹 The Roman Destruction of the Temple & Jewish Writings
✅ In 70 AD, the Romans burned Jerusalem’s temple and destroyed many Hebrew texts, as prophesied by Jesus (Matthew 24:1-2).
✅ Many early Christian and Jewish writings were hidden in caves—such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, which contain books like Isaiah, Enoch, and Jubilees.
✅ Rome feared prophetic books that spoke of a coming Messiah-King, as they undermined Roman authority.
➡️ The suppression of divine writings was part of Satan’s war strategy—to keep people from knowing the Messiah and God’s final plan.
3. The Early Church & Attempts to Hide or Alter Scripture
After Christ’s resurrection, political and religious systems continued efforts to suppress prophetic truth.
🔹 Persecution of Early Christians & Destruction of Scripture
✅ Roman emperors like Nero and Diocletian ordered the burning of Christian writings, including prophecies about Jesus’ return.
✅ Early believers hid their scrolls in catacombs and secret locations.
✅ Despite persecution, the Scriptures were preserved and spread throughout the world.
🔹 The Suppression of “Non-Canonical” Writings
✅ Books like Enoch, Jubilees, and 2 Esdras contain prophecies of the end times that align with Revelation.
✅ Some early Church councils (under Roman influence) excluded apocalyptic books, possibly to limit widespread knowledge of coming judgment.
✅ Yet, these books survived in Ethiopian, Slavic, and other biblical traditions—indicating that God’s word cannot be fully erased.
None of these books—whether Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher, Maccabees, Wisdom of Solomon, or the Prophetic Writings—contain words, knowledge, or information that would harm, curse, or damage God’s chosen people or the lineage of Adam, Noah, Abraham, and King David. Instead, these writings were given to preserve, warn, protect, and strengthen God’s people.
However, twisting, misinterpreting, or weaponizing these texts—as has been done throughout history—can lead to deception, confusion, and curses for those who misuse them.
The Purpose of These Books: Protection, Not Harm
Every book that carries divine revelation serves to:
✅ Strengthen God’s people by giving wisdom and prophecy.
✅ Expose the plans of the enemy so God’s chosen are not deceived.
✅ Reveal God’s war strategy against the forces of darkness.
✅ Teach righteousness so that God’s people stay in covenant with Him.
🔹 Enoch – Reveals the fallen angels’ rebellion and God’s judgment (1 Enoch 6-16).
🔹 Jubilees – Reinforces God’s laws and the importance of keeping His covenants (Jubilees 1:26-29).
🔹 Maccabees – Shows the fight to preserve the Torah against pagan oppression (1 Maccabees 2:27-30).
🔹 Wisdom of Solomon – Exposes the corruption of worldly wisdom and calls for true spiritual insight (Wisdom 6:12-21).
➡️ None of these books harm God’s people—rather, they prepare them for battle and endurance.
The True Danger: Misusing or Twisting These Books
While the books themselves are not harmful, misinterpretation, distortion, or misuse can lead to spiritual destruction.
A. False Teachings and Misuse Lead to Curses
🔸 Satan misused Scripture to tempt Jesus – “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down” (Matthew 4:6).
🔸 False prophets twisted God’s words to deceive Israel (Jeremiah 23:25-32).
🔸 Pharisees manipulated the Law but missed its true meaning (Matthew 23:13-15).
➡️ When people use sacred texts for greed, control, or deception, they bring spiritual harm upon themselves.
B. Removing or Hiding Prophecies Brings Judgment
🔹 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)
🔹 “If anyone takes away from the words of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life.” (Revelation 22:19)
➡️ Suppressing or altering God’s word brings curses upon those who do it, not upon His true people.
Did Any of These Books Become Corrupted Over Time?
Some texts have later additions, distortions, or translations that may contain errors.
🔹 The Book of Enoch has different versions, and some scholars believe later sections were added.
🔹 The Apocrypha (Wisdom, Maccabees, etc.) was rejected by some groups due to Greek philosophical influences in certain parts.
🔹 The Book of Jasher has multiple versions, and some later writings falsely claimed to be the original.
➡️ However, this does not mean the core truths in these books are harmful—only that discernment is needed to separate truth from later edits.
Are There Cursed or Forbidden Books?
Yes—books inspired by fallen angels, demons, or false prophets contain teachings that can lead to curses and destruction.
🔹 Forbidden Knowledge from Fallen Angels (Book of Enoch 8:1-3)
✅ Enoch describes how fallen angels gave forbidden knowledge to humanity—such as war, sorcery, and genetic corruption.
✅ This was NOT part of God’s revelation but rather a satanic deception.
✅ Those who followed this forbidden knowledge before the Flood were destroyed.
🔹 Occult and Pagan Books in the Bible Were Burned (Acts 19:19-20)
✅ When people repented, they burned books of sorcery and magic.
✅ These writings led people away from God’s truth and brought curses upon them.
➡️ The true danger is not from God’s prophetic books but from demonic books, occult teachings, and false doctrines that lead people into deception.
The Prophets and their books were written by real people—many of whom were slaves, captives, or oppressed individuals—detailing their perspective of history, national struggles, divine revelation, and world events.
However, these were not just personal opinions or historical records. The prophets were directly inspired by God to write, revealing God’s perspective on history, His people, and the future.
Many Prophets Were Slaves, Captives, or Oppressed People
Many of the biblical prophets lived under foreign rule, persecution, or captivity, yet they wrote and spoke God’s message despite the political and social oppression they faced.
🔹 Moses – Born under Egyptian slavery, raised in Pharaoh’s house, later led Israel out of bondage (Exodus 1-3).
🔹 Jeremiah – Lived through the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem and was imprisoned and persecuted for warning about it (Jeremiah 37-38).
🔹 Daniel – Taken captive to Babylon as a young man, served in a foreign government while receiving visions of empires and end-times events (Daniel 1, 7-12).
🔹 Ezekiel – A prophet during Babylonian exile, witnessing the destruction of the Temple and writing visions of Israel’s restoration (Ezekiel 1, 37).
🔹 Nehemiah & Ezra – Returned from exile in Persia, documenting the rebuilding of Jerusalem and spiritual renewal (Nehemiah 1-2, Ezra 1-3).
🔹 John (Revelation) – Exiled to Patmos by the Roman Empire, where he wrote about the end times, the Beast system, and God’s final victory (Revelation 1:9).
➡️ These prophets were not kings or elites but often oppressed individuals who spoke truth to power and revealed divine history as it unfolded.
The Prophetic Books Are More Than Just Personal Accounts
While the prophets recorded real events, their books were not just historical journals or personal perspectives. They contain:
✅ Prophecies of Future Events – Many prophecies were fulfilled, proving their divine origin (Isaiah 53 about Jesus, Daniel 2 about world empires).
✅ Direct Words from God – Often prefaced by “Thus says the LORD” (Jeremiah 1:9, Ezekiel 2:7).
✅ Warnings of Judgment and Redemption – Calling people to repentance and foretelling the rise and fall of nations.
✅ Spiritual Insight Beyond Human Perspective – Descriptions of heavenly visions, angelic encounters, and supernatural warfare.
➡️ The prophets were real people experiencing real events, but their words were divinely guided and spoke beyond their own understanding.
How These Writings Reflect the Global Struggle of God’s People
Because God’s chosen people were often enslaved, exiled, and oppressed, their writings reflect:
🔹 The battle between God’s kingdom and world empires (Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Rome).
🔹 God’s judgment on sinful nations and leaders (Nebuchadnezzar, Pharaoh, Herod, etc.).
🔹 The endurance and faithfulness of God’s people in captivity (Daniel in Babylon, Jews under Antiochus IV in Maccabees, early Christians under Rome).
🔹 Prophecies of a future Messiah-King who would bring ultimate justice (Isaiah 9:6-7, Daniel 7:13-14).
➡️ These books are not just historical records—they reveal God’s ongoing war plan against oppressive world systems.
Why This Matters Today
🔹 If God spoke through enslaved, exiled, and oppressed people in the past, He is still speaking to the oppressed today.
🔹 The same global systems that opposed the prophets still exist today (corrupt governments, empires, false religions).
🔹 Understanding these writings helps us see God’s hand in history and future events.
